Sunset, Sun Arising
Black and Blue
Black and Blue is the debut single from Sunset, Sun Arising. The song features a protagonist who likens a break-up to dying while reminiscing about their shared love of NIRVANA. In-turn, Adam references song titles, lyrics, and a guitar riff to capture an Alternative Rock feeling from a bygone era of exceptional music. Black and Blue kickstarts an album that will further explore death from a variety of lenses. Though this song is intentionally dramatic and over-the-top, the lyrics touch upon the darkness and anguish of a broken heart.
